1. Competitions will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (RSOBHD).
2. The judge’s decision is final.
3. Age groups will be determined according to the number of entries and competitors’ ages as of the day
of the competitions.
4. Dancers must present their 2024 registration card to register and receive awards.
5. Dancers last to enter shall be first to dance and first to fill in for reels.
6. Dancers must be ready and appear when called or forfeit the chance to dance.
7. Dancers must be in full costume to receive awards.
8. Awards are given at the judge’s discretion.
9. Ohio Scottish Games reserves the right to make changes to the event or schedule so long as the
the change falls within the scope of RSOBHD Rules.
10. Choreography Competition Rules as per RSOBHD - Choreography competition will commence immediately following AM competition. Total performance time cannot exceed 1.5 minutes including on/off time. Music and costume must have a Scottish/Celtic theme. Music files must be emailed to [email protected] no later than June 15th, 2024. Confirmation emails will be sent within 48 hours.
10. No refunds.

In consideration of SACSO’s acceptance of me (my child) as a competitor in their 2024 Ohio Scottish Games (2024 OSG) I hereby for myself (my child), my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims that I (my child) may have to damages against SACSO, Inc. and its agents, representatives, trustees and officers, for any injuries which I (my child) might suffer during the 2024 OSG. My signature on any entry form will indicate that I have read, understand, and agree to the GENERAL RULES FOR ALL COMPETITORS and also serves as a COMPLETE RELEASE TO SACSO, Inc. to permit them, or anyone acting for them, to photograph me (my child) and to use these photographs for SACSO publicity, to publish or otherwise use in whole or part, either digitally or in any other medium now known or later discovered, any photographs taken of me (my child) without identifying me (my child) as the subject. It also serves as a complete release and discharge of SACSO, Inc. from any claim or cause of action, now known or later discovered, for among other things, right of publicity arising out of the use of the photographs.
